Troubled Water School – Immersive Flood Communication for Young People

Troubled Water School – Immersive Flood Communication for Young People

Floods also affect children and young people. For a long time, they were primarily viewed as a risk group—yet they themselves can do a great deal to protect themselves and inform others. Therefore, it is important to communicate dangers and protective measures clearly and engagingly. With augmented reality, they can experience a virtual flood directly in their own surroundings. By presenting our research prototype in extracurricular settings, we are using the opportunity to introduce young people to the topic and gain insights for adapting it to specific target groups. The specific format is currently being planned.
