Together Digital

Digital together

The project: Students developed the idea of supporting senior citizens in using digital devices. This led to a monthly meeting in the Sparkasse's campus lounge, in cooperation with the Bürgerstiftung (Citizens' Foundation) – accompanied by coffee and cookies.

This initial project has since become a permanent offering. In cooperation with the Citizens' Foundation, the project continues and now takes place at the "MitMachEck" (Participation Corner) at Nußbergstraße 9. The digital consultation hour is held there every other Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., due to the high demand. In addition, students offer workshops, which are scheduled according to topic and demand. Further information about the "MitMachEck" is available from [contact information missing in original text]. Braunschweig Community Foundation.

The impact: dThe project sustainably improves the digital participation of older people. Personalised support in the use of smartphones and other technical devices reduces fear of contact and increases social participation. At the same time, students take on social responsibility.

The project took 1st place in the Student competition for the best student impact project 2025/26.
