TU for Future practical project

TU for Future practical project

The impact learning exercise „TU for Future Practical Project“ expands upon the existing lecture series „TU for Future“The program is complemented by a practice-oriented curriculum. While the lecture series provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to current sustainability and climate protection topics, the supplementary exercises enable them to apply their acquired knowledge in their own projects with social impact.”.

This course combines academic learning with practical application. Working in small groups, students collaborate with societal stakeholders to develop concrete solutions to sustainability challenges and implement these solutions within their own practical project. They are supported by the Green Office and the Knowledge Transfer Team, receiving assistance with project development, organization, communication, and reflection on the impact achieved.

The exercise comprises a workload of 30 hours (1 ECTS credit). Participation in, or a connection to, the content of the lecture series "TU for Future" is a prerequisite. The projects are based on the thematic areas of the respective lecture series and can include, for example, educational, communication, transfer, or campus projects.

The focus is on transferring scientific knowledge into social practice, developing students' own capacity for action, and strengthening their skills in project management, interdisciplinary collaboration, communication, and self-efficacy. Students document and reflect on their learning process and the social impact of their project as part of a portfolio assessment and present their results at the end of the course.
