Online course in sign language

Online sign language course

The project: The aim of the project is to integrate German Sign Language (DGS) as an integral part of teacher training programmes and thus make a sustainable contribution to inclusive and equitable education. With the help of interactive courseware on the Stud.IP learning platform, prospective teachers receive practical knowledge of DGS that they can incorporate directly into their lessons.

The Impact: The project specifically supports several of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals - in particular Goal 4 (Quality education), Goal 10 (Reduced inequalities) and Goal 16 (Peace, justice and strong institutions). In the long term, we want to contribute to a school and society in which inclusion is not the exception, but the norm.“
