Land.Komm.Digital

Land.Komm.Digital starts where participation in rural areas often comes to nothing: Although communication services provide information, they rarely encourage actual participation. In a design workshop with local stakeholders, specific communication formats are therefore being developed to promote participation.

These results will be used to create a practical toolkit with design principles that will be tested in several organisations and iteratively refined after a few weeks on the basis of a brief impact evaluation. This process is scientifically supported by the chair Service information systems at the Institute for Information Systems. The aim is to have a demonstrable and tangible impact on communication practice: more participation-orientated communication that strengthens self-efficacy, increases commitment and thus sustainably supports social participation in rural areas.
