Clothes swap exchange at the Wolfsburg Children's and Family Centre

Clothes swap exchange at the Wolfsburg Children's and Family Centre

The project: The aim of the project is to set up a permanent clothes swap initiative for children's clothing. In a fixed area of the children's and family centre, items of clothing in good condition are to be handed in and taken by other families free of charge. This means that children's clothing is used for longer, resources are conserved and families are relieved financially.

The practice partner: The practice partner is a children's and family centre in Wolfsburg. The project builds on the previously established flea market and develops it into a continuous offer within the centre.

The Impact: The initiative promotes sustainable consumption, supports lower-income families in particular and strengthens the sense of community. An information brochure explaining the process and the concept of sustainability is also being produced.
