Generation tandem

The project: In the „Generation Tandem“ programme, we bring international students and senior citizens together in day care facilities to promote intergenerational and intercultural exchange through joint activities such as discussions, board games and getting to know each other. The international students can improve their everyday German in the process.

The Impact: The project strengthens the social participation of senior citizens, promotes social engagement and everyday German among international students and builds sustainable local networks between the university and care facilities.
