This gave rise to the idea of organising a <strong data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"519\">Swap party<\/strong> to organise an event that promotes sustainable consumption and involves the local community.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"1209\">The project was realised in cooperation with the <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"689\">Sustainability Centre Braunschweig<\/strong> realised, supported by the <strong data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"757\">Sandpit platform of the TU Braunschweig<\/strong>. The event took place on 9 August 2024 at the Sustainability Centre. Participants were able to swap used items such as clothing, decorations, plants and toys while learning about the impact of the fast fashion industry. The event was complemented by music, a documentary and an offer to donate food and drinks in favour of the association <strong data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1209\">Ofarin e.V.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1517\">Preparations included organising the venue, advertising via social media, posters and personal networks as well as designing the space with private furniture and decorations.
